The bond between Pakistan and Britain has historical ties. In 1961 and 1997, Queen Elizabeth visited Pakistan. Princess Diana also came on the request of the now Prime Minister Imran Khan to support the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital in 1966. Back in 2006, Prince Charles and Camilla also paid a visit, despite the Taliban militants who had control over the northern districts of the country.
Now, after more than a decade, the Royal visit to Pakistan has been planned. Both countries hope that their historical ties will be kept for an everlasting friendship.
